Каждая работа фотографа Андрея Гудкова — это прежде всего желание показать характер своих «героев» и «круг их интересов», то есть создать небольшой рассказ в одной фотографии. В этом проявляются мастерство ^журналиста, богатейший опыт и талант фотографа-анима-листа. Этот талант проявляется также в способности почувствовать Состояние: состояние животного, состояние [природы, состояние Времени. Почувствовать, как течет время для зверя, стать «немного им» — это основной секрет, который позволяет снимать так, чтобы животные были самими собой.
Вторая сторона профессии (и второй необходимый дар фотографа-анималиста) — это быть деликатным по отношению к тем, кого ты снимаешь, быть в природе
Не «вторженцем» или просто посторонним, а почти своим.
Только тогда животные, возможно, позволят человеку увидеть их такими, какие они есть. Животные, так же как и люди, ценят уважение своих прав. И это еще раз убеждает, что все мы почти одинаковые, а они отличаются от нас только тем, что чуть меньше притворяются.
Практически на всех континентах Андрей Гудков находит объекты для съемки, и практически на всех континентах находятся люди, которые с восторгом смотрят его фотографии. Язык фотографии интернационален, а язык анималистической фотографии интернационален вдвойне!
Это одна из немногих тем, которая несет абсолютный позитив и вызывает абсолютное понимание. Поэтому вместо того, чтобы сто раз повторять: «Мир удивителен и прекрасен!», можно просто посмотреть портреты животных из этого альбома, чтобы убедиться, насколько мир удивителен и прекрасен!

Every work from the photographer Andrey Gudkov is, first and foremost, a desire to show the character of its subjects and their «range of interests,» meaning to create a little story within a single photograph. This is where his excellence as a journalist, his wealth of experience, and his talent as a wildlife photographer all shine through. This talent is also felt in the ability to feel a Condition in his photographs: the condition of an animal, the condition of nature, the condition of Time. To feel how time flows for that animal, in some small way to «become the animal» — that’s the founding secret that allows him to take photos showing the animals as themselves.
The other side of his profession (and the second necessary gift for any wildlife photographer) is to be considerate with regard to what you photograph, so as not to be an intruder in nature or simply to be an onlooker, but rather to almost belong. Only then, perhaps, do animals allow a person to see them as they really are. Animals, just like people, value the respect of their rights. And this confirms again that we are all the same; they differ from us merely in that they dissimulate their nature slightly less than we do.
Andrey Gudkov has found subjects to photograph on almost every continent, and on almost every continent there are people who admire his photos. The language of photography is international, and wildlife photography doubly so! It is one among very few subjects that remain absolutely positive and engender an absolute understanding. For that reason, instead of repeating a hundred times, “The world is wonderful and amazing!”, we might simply look at the animal portraits from this album in order to be convinced how wonderful and amazing the world is!
